Kangaroo Island Spirits - KIS O'Gin 43.5 % vol.

The Kangaroo Island O'Gin was awarded Best Gin in the Contemporary Gin category at the prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition in London in 2019.
It is the first time that an Australian gin has won this Oscar of the gin scene.

The founders of KIS, Jon and Sarah Lark, were originally inspired to create gin that reflects the fantastic landscape of Kangaroo Island where they live. Their O'Gin does just that. Its character is significantly influenced by the infusion of coastal daisy bush (Olearia axillaris).
Jon and Sarah learnt about its scent while walking through the dunes to the pristine beaches of Kangaroo Island on hot summer days.
The essential oils of this plant are both piney and sweet with notes of tropical fruit.
In O'Gin, it harmonises very well with stronger juniper and is spiced with Asian cubeb pepper and balanced with a belt of fresh South Australian orange. The strong and savoury O'Gin is favoured by experienced gin drinkers as a base for almost any cocktail and is ideal for a martini.

KIS is one of Australia's first gin distilleries, founded on Kangaroo Island. Since then, the distillery has built a reputation as one of Australia's best gin distilleries and has won numerous awards at the world's best competitions, including the International Wine and Spirits Competition in London and the SIP Awards in California.

Nose: Bursts of olearia plant and juniper
Palate: Juniper, sweet orange, peppery
Finish: Passion fruit, pepper
