Green ants are added before and after the distillation of this unique Green Ant Gin from Australia. Some of these green ants can be found in every bottle and are not just decoration, but can also be consumed. These little guys are a real flavour explosion. Despite their small size, they have an intense flavour of lime and coriander and go perfectly with Green Ant Gin.
Green ants have long been on the menu of the Aborigines in the tropical north of Australia.
They are a popular snack between meals and a sought-after source of protein. Green ants are also said to have medicinal qualities that help with colds, for example.

For thousands of years, indigenous Australians have been gathering native foods in the wild without damaging the ecosystem. This approach has also been applied to Green Ant Gin.
That's why Seven Seasons is also about doing things the way they've always been done.
The ants are harvested by hand by the indigenous people. The number of ants that can ultimately be collected is strictly limited.
The nests remain with their queen and juvenile ants to ensure that each individual colony can continue to live without interference. The green ants are harvested in the windy season (August / September), one of the Seven Seasons of the Australian Aborigines.

In order to maintain sustainability, the Australian government has granted Seven Seasons and the Larrakia people in northern Australia an exclusive licence so that the green ants can be harvested legally and sustainably.

Innovation and tradition are not all that Green Ant Gin has to offer.
It has already won gold at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition 2019 and silver at the prestigious IWSC London Spirits Competition in 2021.
